  1. get a bucket of water, and drip a little bit of dish soap in it. stir it up til it's slightly bubbly. Pour the water slowly over the inflated pool whilst the pool is upside down, (since the leak is most likely on the bottom, and if it was in the water containing part of the pool, you'd see bubbles) and just watch for air bubbles coming out. The soap helps you see the bubbles and keep the water on the plastic longer. I do this all the time with bike tires, it should be pretty similar, just on a larger scale.

  2. Just about any kind of spray works. Glass cleaner - anything that will bubble when air hits it.

  3. Soapy water.  Maybe bubble soap.

    Mechanics used that to find innertube leaks for decades.
