  1. 12....

  2. You can calculate how much sand you need fairly easily using this formula: area(LxW)x depth ,All in feet ie 12'x24'x.25'(3")=72cubic feet and divide by 27 to give cubic yards=2.66 cubic yards.Hope this helps.

  3. You'll need 0 yards of anything.

Get yourself a laser beam level (they are not too expensive) and place it at the center of the pool area and take level measurements all around the edges of the pool area.

this will tell you witch side need filling and witch side need scraping.

If the reading shows only one portion of area needs filling and the rest of the area is level, just scrape a little from the level area and fill the gap.

  4. If it's one of those easy set pools (Intex or EasySet) where you fill only the top ring of the pool with air and then fill it up, then they stress not to use sand. I can't recall why they say not to use it, but they do say over and over and in big bold letters that it must be level!!!  We have one and we had to dig into the ground to level it out, then put a large tarp down. It worked out great.

  5. Well that depends on the amount of incline you have. Use an old math geometry. Calculate the area of the pool, depth of the lowest point and multiply. Then divide it by half to get a fairly good idea of amount you need sand in cubic feet. That should give you an idea about how much sand to buy.
