I have an interview at Best Buy in a few days, so is it alright if I ask for a transfer within a month?

Of course, this is all assuming I get the job. This is because my college starts at the end of August, and I would like to work at a place like this. I am moving to a place an hour away, so is it alright if I work at Best Buy only for a month? I need the money for that time, that is the main reason.

It's odd, because the whole summer I did not get interviews for any place, but finally got one today for this store.

you might wait until you get the job to ask this. wait two weeks.

You will only be able to transfer if the other store has an opening.  Did you disclose at the interview that this was your intention?  If so, they would have told you the chances that it would happen.  If not, that was honestly quite rude.

At this point, I would just wait until you move and then get a job there.  Or else look at the websites for places that are near where you will be moving to and apply about one to two weeks prior to moving.
