I have an interview at daycare. It is independent franchise but part of a chain called The Goddard School. I am trying to find out what they pay to see if the drive is worth it to me. I tried to Google/look up online no luck. Can anyone please help? Thanks, and if this is posted in the wrong place sorry. Also, I am a male, what should I wear to the interview?

  1. I worked at the Goddard School for over a year, and it's a very nice place.  The rate of pay really depends on your experience and if you have any type of degree in Education.  I started out at $8.00/hour before I received my associates degree.

Just wear a nice pair of slacks, dress shoes, button up shirt and tie.

    The website is http://www.goddardschool.com/Default.gsp...

  2. i work at the goddard school =]

well one of them. they are in my eyes one of the best in the nation, they have very strict code, and very high standards but it is very rewarding!

at my goddard it depends on what expeirence you have as to how much you will be paid.

they do have a website, i dont know it off hand..

also, congrats on being a guy and applying for a job at a preschool, i have never seen a guy even interested in a job at mine =]

    you should dress business casual!

  3. I know these schools, very nice facilities!  Here is the link to their website, http://www.goddardschool.com/Preschool.g... Check out their philosophy, different programs based on age, and other info. (it's good to know a little about the company first!)  Usually, in interviews for childcare positions, they provide some scenarios and ask how you would handle the situations, they may also ask what is the proper disciplinary action for certain age groups, and what activities are appropriate for the age groups.  Here's a link on child development for preschool age kids:  http://www.urbanext.uiuc.edu/babysitting...  Scroll down to the bottom for age groups!

Just wear nice slacks and a button up shirt, usually business casual is appropriate attire for this type of interview.  Good Luck!!!

  4. Good luck, the goddard school is the cadillac of daycares, the best of the best.  They pay higher than average, more if you have education or experience.  I would wear navy blue slacks or khakis, and a polo or button down shirt if at all possible.  The goddard school employees wear uniform shirts.  I really hope you get this job, this is an excellent opportunity for anyone.

    good luck

  5. Wear a dress shirt with slacks or jeans. Just go nice - casual and have that clean look going for you..... Its extremely rare that someone would announce the pay rate of a job - more then likely - you wont find out unless you get it. At that point, you still have the option to either accept or deny the job. Good luck!
