I have an interview for vehicle maintenance and servicing level 1 at college. What can i lear about cars now ?

I want to know some beginners stuff i can teach myself before my interview next week, I have a car of my own to practise on.

I just want to show the interviewer that i already have some knowledge about cars, Any help appreciated.

  1. well get a haynes manuel on your car and read the basic stuff u don't want to sound to knowledgeable but that's a good start


  2. Don't worry just go in there and be your self its not like job interview and only one weak away don't practice on your car it might not run when done.  

  3. Quick....I have one week to learn to become a surgeon! You can just buy a general book on car repair. You can actually learn a lot in a week, but I doubt the interviewer will think you're a mechanic.  

  4. ...ask him if he knows what ''suck,squeze,bang,blow'' means....its a 4 stroke engine cycle down to the basics...dont try and baffle him with knolage that you know nothing about...your going to collage to learn it...that should be enough to get you in...

    Don't worry too much, if you knew it all you wouldn't be going on the course.
