I have an interview with a talent agent tomorrow... !!??!!?

Question

they told me that they would get to know me first by asking questions, then do a reading with me, and then hopefully if they have time they will take pictures.

they know i have no experience with acting and they are fine with that but im still FREAKINGGGG OUTTT about the reading

ive never done this before but really really really badly want to do it and want to do good!!! what should i expect and will it be that hard?!?!

Look. I bet you'll do brilliant. Just get into character and try to make sure it doesn't look like your acting. Just act natural, confident and determined. Show some passion for acting and show that you really want to get in. Good luck, but I bet you won't need it.

First off, BREATHE

Now, calm down! You will do fine! The questions will probably be something like. Why should we choose you? Why do you want to be an actor? And maybe questions about dedication and so on... The reading will probably be a scene or monologue. If they like you a lot they may ask you to do more, but if you blow them away they wont ask you to do another. If it is a scene make sure not to loose character they will be watching you carefully. Make sure when you get the piece to read it through and make some decisions about the character, change the way you talk and stand/sit to be the character. Try to loose you and be the character. They will be impressed if you have no experience but you do this. ^  Make sure that you change to be the character it isn't really just reading, the whole point is to see if you can change into this person physically and mentally. Try to make a whole life for the character. And don't just say the lines react to what the other person says through the lines. If you follow what I have said they will be impressed and your in!!!

Also, make sure to give your self personality, so when you change to the character they can see it. If your nutral then they won't see the change as much, make sure to be you and you know act normal like your talking with your friends so they see the change when you switch to the character.

I wish that whenever someone asks about an audition, they would say what agency it is for because of all the scams out there. Your interview could be a scam. How did you get the interview? If by answering a radio ad  or if someone just came up to you in the mall, it is a scam and don't bother, they will just try to sell you costly lessons..

so expect questions like

why do you want to be an actress?

why do you want us to represent you?

and

why should we add you to our roster?

what they mean by a reading is they are going to give you a monologue or a script and have you act out a scene with them

then just expect the pictures to be like headshot and full body shots

it shouldn't be too hard and not be longer than 2 hours
