I have an ipod nano 3rd generation and got it wet!!??

Question

I have a new ipod now (30 gig video) but i want to b able to use my nano. Even though it got wet it still works perfectly wen hooked up to a power source like the computer or an xbox, so i went to go get it fixed but the ipod store sed it got wet and that i cud replace it for $120. I dont want to pay that much i was just wondering if it needs to get a battery replacement or if there is no way of fixing this? will the ipod store not work on something that was wet? If this has happened to anybody please help?

ipod battery cost 120 dollars, replace the battery
