  1. here are your wiring options http://www.the12volt.com/caraudio/woofer... so you can get impedances (ohms) of 2 or 8ohms

the best amp for you would be any amp the has about 1000watts RMS @ 2ohms and is CEA-compliant (makes of exceeds the advertised wattage with minimim distortion)

here are the top CEA-compliant brands

    Alpine

    Bazooka

    Blaupunkt

    Clarion

    Eclipse

    Infinity

    JBL

    JL Audio

    Kenwood

    Kicker  (what i would recommend)

    MTX

    Pioneer

    Polk Audio

    Rockford Fosgate

    Sony

$240 it is a steal http://www.hifisoundconnection.com/Shop/... get it

  2. I have to dissagree with jake, a four channel amp is alright for running two or four subs but just one at 2000 watts, you should a Class D Monoblock amplifier that has an RMS wattage of around 800 watts.  The class D monoblock is made for single subwoofers and will give the best sound for one sub. This is because it is designed to put out low frequency signals and low frequency only.  Most four channel amplifiers will run any frequency but subs only register to low frequency.  Dont go over 800 RMS though or turning iti up too loud will smoke the sub.  Oh ya and the monoblock amp will probably never burn out on this sub if it is class D

  3. ok now you need to look at the rms  soo you won't over power it

    or under power it,

  4. if you will be using a sealed box the you can get a ZX1000.1 if you are using a ported box then you can use a ZX750.1. the bigger the box the better it will sound

  5. I have a 1500 watt (750 rms) 4 ohm L7 (but only 12"). I have an 800 watt 4-channel kicker amp pushing it, which is all I need.

Get a 4 channel amp for sure. This will give you good sound. 4 ohms means 4 channels. You can get away with a 2 channel, but you'll just be robbing your sound and sub potential.

Keep in mind; 2000 watts means that 2000 is it's max power. You don't want to push 2000 watts through it though because you might blow it the speaker. You want to stick to the rms (suggested continuous usage power) which is 1000 watts.

You can go balls out and get a 2000 watt amp, but if you do, don't pushed all 2000 unless you intend to blow it. 1500 is plenty, 1000 will save you money and will be ample power to push the sub. Besides, for every day use, you don't want to go much higher than 1000 if you want to keep your sub in good shape.

Also, you want to make sure you get a good box. You can easily find a custom box for an S15L7, but you want a box based on your taste. A closed box will give good thump, whereas a vented box will give good acoustics (better sound). If you want to build the box yourself, make sure you do some research and find the right size. You don't want to go too big or too small. There is usually a suggested size for each sub to give the best sound.

Edit: yeah, Zach P is right on the 4 channel thing. I know that I have a 4 channel hooked up to 1 woofer, which works fine for me, but I believe that Zach is right on this one.
