It has no smell but looks like the smoke does when something drips and burns in your oven. It fills my house and does not seem to flow from room to room or even toward open windows like normal smoke does. The other night my 18-month old did something really strange; she was in such a deep sleep, that I could not wake her. She is an incredibly lite sleeper and actually does not sleep much. We have CO detectors and they are not picking up anything. Someone please HELP!!!!! I'm really scared. Last night we camped out in our SUV.

  1. definitely have your home checked...never totally depend on detectors

  2. Call  911 If you have smoke in your home and do not know where it is coming from that is there job! You could have something somdering in a wall.

  3. Don't call 911 - that's the emergency line. Find out the Fire Department business office number or stop in. If you can take some digital pictures that would be a plus. They will be able to tell you the next step/person to go to if they can't pinpoint it when they come to your house..

I say not to call 911 because that is the number you call when there is imminent danger. As long as you are out of the house (and remain that way) and it's not on fire please don't call 911 and then when they get there say "Oh I just wanted you to check on something"  - someone's house across town might actually be burning down, They have a business office, they have people to talk to. If you are in an area where it is volunteer you can check with town hall and they can direct you to the building or health inspector.

When was the last time you had your furnace serviced?

    Maybe you have spirits....

  4. Don't delay! leave the home along with all other people.

Call 911 from a cell phone or your neighbors home. Have them come out to do a 'smoke investigation'.  Many departments have special 'sniffer' tools that are highly sensitive to certain harmful gasses.

They may come with lights and sirens screaming, you might attract some attention but your lives may depend on this call.

    Defiantly better safe than sorry

When the department arrives give them the history of this situation including the issues with the sleeping child/how long it's been going on etc.......
