I tried a very soft cloth, but that doesn't seem to get all of it. What should I be using?

Thanks!!

  1. Don't use anything other than lens tissue, cue tips are abrasive! Even toilet roll is abrasive!

If the spot is greasy don't rub, use Eclipse fluid to dissolve it and Pec Pads to apply it, by far the safest way, available from any Photography shop or eBay.

  2. Just want to emphasize what Dude has written.  No water!  No q-tips!  Use lens paper and lens cleaner.  Do not put the lens cleaner on the lens, put it on the lens paper--just a drop will do.  Though it is probably not necessary I start at the center of the lens and spiral to the edge.  When I reach the edge I discard the paper and do it over again, as necessary.

To be honest, I sometimes use a previously unused part of the paper; and I have on occasion used a special lens cleaning cloth, and way back when even used a lens cleaning chamois.  But the process I first described is the best method for me.

  3. use a cuetip the one u clean your ear dont put anything on it then dap just a very very very very very little drop of water on the cue tip and then use another dry one to dry it off

also9 u can take a toothpick and put it through your colth and get thye corners of the lens

  4. Lense Tissue

    Lens cleaner

Fold the tissue into a triangle, try to leave one tip untouched

Put a drop or to ONTO THE PAPER, not the lense.

starting from the center, GENTLY wipe in a circular motion

dry with another folded lens tissue
