I need to hook up TV to my Directv receiver, and Xbox and DVD recorder. I have the red, yellow and white cords on the AV selector but the TV has a coax, with no red, yellow and white inputs. What goes where?

  1. Coax is a combination of audio and video.

Yellow is video only, red and white are right/left audio.

Your TV doesn't have the right inputs for hooking up via the AV selector box.

Perhaps, you can connect the XBOX and DirectTV into the DVD recorder using the RCA connectors (yellow, red, white) and let the DVD recorder convert the signal for you and output on the COAX to the TV input.

You will lose the ability to record while playing XBOX, but might be able to connect everything.

  2. You will need to obtain another device called an "RF Modulator". You would insert this between the A/V selector and the TV's antenna input. This device converts the A/V signals back into radio frequency signals your TV can accept.

  3. try one by one i no there are 3 colours cause thats texnologybut one will do all im sureand i think its the red but dont quote me
