I tried to dry it in the sun, took out the battery dried that too. Now, the laptop does work but most keys of the keyboard dont work. I can only make it work by a keyboard connected via USB. I have a home insurance which covers accidental damage. I called them and they said they will post me a claim form. They also said i will need 3 quotes for replacement/repair if possible. If getting quotes is not possible they will get such quotes for me. I am waiting for the claim form. Can anybody advice on what I should do to get the best claim? My laptop bought in 2003 was worth £750 appx. can i get somewhat a similar figure to buy a new one?
