I have an old Palmcorder IQ. Panasonic model #PV-IQ503 that doesn't show the picture through the viewfinder anymore. It records black and it plays back fine...but through the lens all I see is black. I can adjust the focus and the menu shows up so everything else works...any ides as to what this may be? And yes, I have the lens cap open.... I know some of you may say "buy a new one", well, money is tight and I'd like to avoid that if at all possible. Any thoughts would be welcome.

  1. i am amazed that you can still buy tape for this, a true antique, should be donated to a museum.  since you can see the menu, go through all the settings. you might have a highspeed shutter on which would pass little light. you might have manual iris selected. you might have a special mode selected like "fade to black". if you can't find the problem in the menu, then its broke.
