What can I still plant now? It is Mid August in Minnesota and I am not sure what will still grow.

  1. There are various planting guides available on-line.  http://www.extension.umn.edu/distributio... was prepared by the University of Minnesota.  It's got most of the info you'll need for planting dates in your area.  Mid-August is getting a little late though.

The lettuce and radishes will mature quickly.  Makes for a great/fresh salad.  You can rotate your plantings with advice from this site.

  2. Veggie season is pretty well over with.  There are a few winter vegetables you might want to try.

    Check out this list:

  3. Garlic can be planted harvest next year around april.

You can do cool weather veggies too..
