I have an older jucuzzi

I have an older jucuzzi spa. Model number z140. I had one of the primary wires burn through some time ago. I repaired this and the spa ran fine until yesterday. It quit running, heating, just plain quit. I checked it today and found one of the smaller wires that connected to a lug on a part that is on the PC board was burned but not burned through. There was enough wire there that I could cut the bad part out and put a new connector on it. This did not make the spa operative. The gfi breaker has not tripped through all of this. There are two fuses on the PC board. I checked them out and they are ok. Any suggestions as to why the wiring keeps overheating and now the spa doesn't run.
