I have an older rca 60 inch projection tv. occasionally the left speaker quits working which cncels the sound?

when the sound cancels it produces a white stic noise

both speakers appear to have tight connections,sometimes u can tun down sound and turn tv off and on, gradually apply volume and it will work any suggestions

the speaker is getting overloaded and there is an internal wiring problem.  when it shorts the speakers cut off in autoprotect mode then come back later.  get it repaired or get an aftermarket surround sound for that great tv.  then just turn the speakers off internally on the tv with the menu setup stuff.

You have a wiring problem, either within the spearker or leading up to the speaker.
