I have an older toshiba tv but it only has the antenna input

where u s***w in the antenna ( thats the only thing on the back of the tv) now that i got direct tv u to plug in the antenna to the box and the little red white and yellow cords but my tv doesnt have that. is there any type adapters i can use so it can work with direct tv

  1. Does it have a cable input, or a couple of screws that you attach rabbit ears to?

    If it is a coaxial cable input, then you can buy an RF converter box at radio shack.  


  2. Your Direct TV box should have the option of connecting a coax cable to it.  Mine has a couple of options, including an F-connector on the back.  You might call Direct TV and see what they can do for you.  Or, you can get an RF modulator to convert the signal so you can connect to your RF connector.  Radio Shack sells them.

  3. Take your problem to a store like Future Shop or Circuit City, tell them exactly the kind of connection you have (it sounds like a cable socket - is it a single socket about 1/2" in diameter with threads on the outside and a small hole in the middle?), and tell them what you want to hook up.  They'll be able to help you.
