I'm going into high school this year. And I'm not that skinny. I weigh in the high 150's. My arms are meaty, but mainly because I play softball. I play the positions of 3rd base and pitcher. I have the strongest arm on the team, so my arms look like what they look like because I'm strong. But since I'm not that skinny and I have arm muscle, it caused my arm to get stretch marks. Very unnoticeable, but I don't like to show my upper arms. My stomach isn't flat, which makes shopping for clothes very difficult. I can't get half the shirts that I want because my stomach sticks out. And I've went to private school all my life and now I'm going to a public high school, which makes my clothing a huge factor now. The bottoms don't matter, it's tops that I need. I wear an XL in shirts, and size 13/14 jeans. I'm not that tall, so try to avoid showing my long shirts, because they will look like dresses on me haha. So, just give me some suggestions on good clothing stores for my type of body. Also, if you can, give me ways that I can camouflage the size of my stomach to make it look kinda normal. These are the stores I like:

Macy's (eh a little but I mainly go there for jeans)

JCPenny (cute clothes ;])

Wet Seal (I just started shopping there and there clothes are ok)

Aeropostale (love it ;])

Stores I hate:

Abercrombie

Hollister

Delias (I have nothing against it, cute clothes, but they don't look like they would fit me)

If you know a store that sells cute clothes, tell me the name of it.

You'll get a better chance of getting best answer if you make me an outfit the website polyvore. If you do make me an outfit on polyvore, make sure the items are in the store, and make sure they aren't skin tight shirts.

  1. You should try Cosmo Girl magazine and Seventeen...They have articals for special body types and what looks good on YOU.

  2. Ok well get tops that aren't really tight, like baby doll tops or loose fitting clothes, especially in black, black makes you look slimmer. Wear some boot cut jeans with some cute heels or boots, if you're like me and have a hard time wearing heels, buy shoes with a small heel or a wedge heel. Examples below.

just some ideas. Hope this helps!

  3. For shirts, I think anything with an empire waist/high waistband (like a band right under your b***s) will be flattering. Also, wrap-style tops are great for your body type. Basically, anything with that will emphasize the smallest part of your torso (high waist) will be flattering. You can find these all over the place, probably even walmart.
