  1. I used to have to read the results of enhanced CRB checks. The first answerer is correct. It will show up on all enhanced CRB checks.

This type of CRB check is for Teachers, social workers etc.

The answerer says they have to ignore some old offences even when they show up. This may be the case BUT they aint going to tell you "we didnt employ you because of xyz conviction"

  2. hi, free advice from a (trainee) lawyer for a change.   if you accepted the fixed penalty at the roadside that would have been the end of the matter but if you went to court it would show up on a future CRB check forever. note however that points/ban lapse after 3 years and you can ask dvla to send you a 'clean' license. As for the fine, you must declare it wherever you are asked about convictions but not after 5 years as under the rehabilitation of offenders act you are not required to disclose it and an employer/thecouncil/etc must disregard it even tho its on CRB. hope this helps. J

  3. As a simple answer, yes it could, you have a conviction handed down by a court. Depends on the level of disclosure sought, though. The "basic" disclosure only reveals the more serious offences, such as:

    Offences against the person

    Theft

    s*x offences

    Harmful or dangerous drugs

    Criminal damage

    Terrorism

    Bomb threats and bomb hoaxes

    Firearms

    Immigration

    Evasion of liability

    Offensive weapons

    Aviation

    Maritime

    Channel Tunnel

    Railways
