I have an ugly table that our school no longer wanted.?

Question

It has heavy sturdy metal legs and composite tabletop? How can I give it a new look. Paint the legs, replace the tabletop? I have 4 and 8 year old kids. We used it to put the vivarium that held the snake we had for the summer but now that the snake is being hosted by another family I have this ugly table. Give me some ideas on how to give it a new look and life?
