I have an urge to cut myself?

Okay so I feel extremely angry for no reason, and i keep getting urges to cut myself, I did this once a while ack and I couldn't stop, I was lucky that time, what if it happens again?

  1. slow down! take a deep breath and think about this. how is this going to help you? please dont cut your self. it will not do anything good for your life. if you do this to yourself youre gonna end up regretting it and could die! believe me you dont want it. my friend did that once and came close to losing his life. ive never gotten to that point but am feeling pretty down myself. feel free to message me and we can talk. :) hope you feel better!

  3. hey babe, i feel you. i used to constantly cut and for no reason. i feel so angry and upset, i'd use to cry uncontrollably for 3 hours on the couch, for no reason at all. it sucks so much and no one really understands unless they've done it before. it's an addiction. my mom threw me in therapy again and my therapist threw me to another guy who put me on medications. people are always talking about how medications will make you feel better. honestly, i hate them and i don't take them as often as i can get away with it. but you'll do it again and again making up new excuses until you don't even need a reason anymore. it gets pretty scary. pretty out of control pretty fast. just stay strong. i know it's hard. i hope that everything turns out alright. email me if you need to

  4. You need to see a psychiatrist...ASAP.  This is not something that can be ignored.  A very close friend of mine was a cutter when she was a teenager and now has to live with (and explain) the scars everyday.  Just GO!

I had a friend who cut herself.  Its scary, b/c I'd never been in that situation before.  I just told her to get help.  You need help, talk to a counselor or a parent or friend.  You need somebody trustworthy and reliable to talk to when you have these urges.  Call them or talk to them and get your thoughts out b/c deep down there might be something attributing to your anger.  When you know what is making you angry, you can take steps to fix that anger. I hope this helps.

    edit: And I completely agree with Penny B.  Read the bible b/c it will help to know that someone who unconditionally cares for you is watching over you.

  6. dont do it...its not worth it...the stress you put on yourself after you do it is worse than it was in the first place...try talking to someone or something...email me if you would like.

  7. If this happens again, just think why am I doing this? I know it makes you feel better for a little while..but it's not helping your anger or depression. Your anger will just keep coming back. It's not solving anything at all. So just think that. When you feel this way listen too some music or watch a good movie it makes you stop thinking about whatever it is that's bothering you. Plus scares aren't pretty and when right now you don't care because you just have that urge. But eventually if you do it enough your arm or whatever isn't going to look good.  

  8. Penny B has a point. I'm not even an christian, and I read the bible because it's comforting.

    Go find yourself a good therapist. Cutting wont help, because eventually you'll get used to the pain and have to do it more often, deeper, or in more dangerous places.

Cutting is not the answer.Once you cut,you have the urge to keep doing it.Cutting leads to more things.Do not start doing that.Cutting is a false sense of relief and I say that because after you do it,you have to deal with the after math of it.You worry about infection getting into the scars.You worry about people finding out about it.You worry about what people will think about you.You worry about getting sent to an institution.And you worry about where it will lead.Cutting really isn't worth it.I used to cut not too long ago.I think you should do something about your anger but don't take it out on anyone or yourself.You should pray to GOD about this.GOD can solve anything.You could express your feelings in art.So draw a picture of how you are feelings at the moment.You could sing.It helps get emotions out.You could dance.It's an art and helps you to express yourself.You could read.You could read the BIBLE or you could read a book that interests you.You could play a musical instrument even if you don't know how to.Well practice does make perfect.You could get involved in sports or church activities.You could exercise.It's healthy.You could listen to constructive music such as Switchfoot or Jon Foreman.Or you could watch a constructive television show such as the inspiration show.I hope that I helped.GOD BLESS you!

  10. you need to see your doctor for depression / anxieity... she may send you to a shrink, but you need help...

    when you start feeling that way, read the bible.
