They wouldn't be called turkish, what wold they be called?

  1. They were called by whatever ethnic group they belonged to. They could have been Kurds, Turks, Bosnians, Greeks, Cypriots, Assyrians, Syrians, Saudis, etc. There were too many ethnic groups living in the former Ottoman Empire to give them one umbrella name.


  2. You still would be Turkish, because if you said anything else most people would have no idea what you are talking about. However, you can pick an era below if you prefer.
