  1. yes:

The basic Business visa is the B-1 for temporary visitors going for business. The B-2 is for temporary visitors for pleasure/tourism. Most business visitors are usually given B-1/B-2 to allow them to enter as tourists as well.

How long can I stay in the US on a tourist or business visa?

A US non-immigrant visa grants you permission to travel to a Port of Entry (airport/seaport) in the United States. When you arrive at your destination Port of Entry, the US Immigration Inspector who processes your entry will determine the length of time that you may remain in the country during this visit. You may travel to the Port of Entry during the validity of your non-immigrant visa up to and including the last day. The visa duration does not determine the length of time that you may remain legally in the United States; only the Immigration Inspector can decide this upon your arrival in the United States.

  2. You have a visa to begin with, that means you're cleared for entry into our great nation.  I believe that you're limited to 6 month stays, but my memory is sketchy, since I'm a citizen.
