which element is better,fire or air,my brother and i always argue. He thinks that air is the best,that is a bunch of palatapus ****!! oh and if you say earth or water thats fine to. go fire!

I would want to be a firebender! Fire is hella awesome! Air and water are beautiful and like a dance, while earth and fire are more crazy awesome fights and stuff! That's my opinion!

I'll admit, water would be handy cuz you can learn to blood bend and stuff. Air is...in my opinion, kinda boring. Earth is pretty cool, but not as fun to watch in action. Except, I love the metal bending and stuff like that.

But fire is the best! Woot! Go fire!!!

Well as Iroh said all elements have their own weaknesses and strong points and one is not superior over the other. However I think that waterbending is better because there is so much that you can do with it.

I think that water is the best element because:

there isn't a single place on earth where you couldn't get a hold of water.

it is solid, as opposed to air or fire. with air, it isn't solid, and would be harder to cause damage. With fire, you can cause burns, and use lightning, but past that, there isn't much you can do. You can't slice through armor or anything like that (because with high water pressure you can cut through literally anything)

you have the control of ice as well, and could easily create weapons of ice. You have the upper hand on earth benders because you can pull water from the air and freeze it into ice as easily as they can pull earth from the ground.

you can put fires out, so you ahve the uppe hand there as well.

and of course, there is blood bending as well.

In order of stregenth, I would say that water is strongest, then fire, air then earth.

-- And I guess that's my logic ^_^;; it just seems correct to me, considering that 70% of earth is water. and plus, if you can stop your opponent with blood bending then you win by default... besides( although this has nothing to do with stregenth ;;>__>) water is the most graceful and elegent of the elements and the benders look like they're dancing when they use it and its just amazing ^_^

if you master water(blood bending)then your basically unstoppable but in different circumstance, like the arrival of sozin's comet, fire has the most destructive power

i'd really prefer water bending because of that blood bending. but i think air bending is far superior than fire, because with fire, the second level of it which is lightning can be avoided with a technique which prince zuko and his uncle can do. while with earth bending, the second level of it as far as i know is controlling the air you breathe, so it can kill instantaneously a person which is cooler and more powerful.
