Hallo

Something else which i am not sure about......

Which do you think can be Guinea Pig's cage minimun size?

Do Guinea Pigs Bite? If they do, do they hurt? What are the possible situations where a GP can probably bite?

Thank you in advance for your answer

  1. well i have 2 gp's and they haven't bit yet but the person at the pet shop said that they will bite if you put your finger on it's mouth, she said that sometimes it will just feel like a nibble like a fish ,but other times it can draw blood so  be careful well what will make a gp bite is that you r messing with it 2 much or it's just aggravated    hope i helped

  2. www.cavycages.com

Excellent resource for new pig owners, I highly recommend it.

    Good luck :)

  3. The cage should be a minimum of 7.5 square feet for one guinea pig.

Well, I'm not sure about guinea pig bites but I know that they only bite if they feel threatened, so don't scare it or anything like that.

  4. just look up in google Guinea Pig Care or ask the pet store.

  5. Yes, they bite but they will not bite unless they feel trapped, scared or if you hurt your GP. It hurt a bit. their teeth are always growing so make sure they have something to chew on like a cardboard toiletpaper roll, or on driftwood or a twig. They love salt. The cage should be 16" to 18" long and 12" high. You should use a wire cage it will not start to smell a quickly and your GP will breath better too.
