If I'm looking for, say a bed, is there anyway to ask to see just all the listings for beds? I tried everything I could think of, including the find window, that just put me in touch with web sites about beds. Any help would be appreciated, Thanks

Use the search box in the messages section.  Yes, it brings up some sponsered links, but scroll down below that and there are the messages that it found.  Also, make sure the messages are recent before replying.  Many freecycle groups allow members to post a "wanted" message for something.  Check your groups rules about that.

If you belong to a range of freecycling groups and also use the Grouply website to manage your Yahoo groups then you can use that service to set up an email alert so that you are told instantly when anyone offers a bed (or whatever) on any group that you belong to.
