Does aluminum foil help? Cuttin costs, ya know. Lost the DVR! I know its a siily question

  1. Aluminum foil won't really help.

    If you're stuck using a set of rabbit ears, well, you might want to invest in some that have a built-in amplifier. It is possible however with indoor antennas that don't have an amplifier to buy one at like, Radio Shack and hook it up between your antenna and TV.

    As far as free solutions, well, i've stated aluminum foil doesn't work. Your indoor reception varies with antenna location...sometimes hooking a little extra cable on to it and putting it in an unorthodox locaction will work (like hanging it from the ceiling or on top of a bookshelf...next to a window..etc).


  2. you could try the converter box that converts you signal to an HD signal. There is a website that gives you the info but i forgot what it is. Also they have a coupon that cuts the cost of the box down to next to nothing. Or you could try to find where the signal is coming from and adjust the position.
