  1. Those are questions that you should be asking of the cruise line you applied for.  Or, if its a contractor who has a concession on a cruise ship you should talk to the contractor.

  2. The basic difference between Staff and Crew is that as staff you can stay in passenger areas also when you are not on duty (but always dressing your uniform) and as a crew not. But it depends on the company rules, so you may ask them.

Crew are those who works in kitchen, waiters, housekeepers, bartenders, ecc. Staff are the ones who offer guest services like shop sellers, entertainers, artists, technicians, ecc.

I don't know your position, but your day-by-day onboard is to work, work and work! All of us really work hard, at least 10 hours a day. But you can go ashore when you are not on duty, so you will travel a lot and go to many different places, meet many people from different cultures and retain most of the money you earn, because you won't pay for rents, food and will be dressing uniform most of your time.

Well... I like it, and you have to like to stay, I won't lie, it's not easy. But if you come, you won't leave it anymore!
