First get the details of your file no. and then you chek other details by logging in the chandigarh passport office site at http://passport.chd.nic.in/index.html

Then select status enquiry and give your file no.

Search on travelstate.gov click on pasport home, click ononline application states check, click on securely input your information here to check your pasport application states, click on ok,  Tick  I have read the privacy and computre fraud and abuse acts notice and disclaminains box,click on submit, type your last name,DOB and sss NO.
