  1. see your doctor.

  2. You should use your albuterol inhaler when you feel your chest start to tighten up and it becomes difficult to breathe.

I would also talk to your doctor about an inhaled anti-inflammatory such as pulmicort to help maintain good lung function and prevent asthma attacks.

  3. Often times for excercise induced asthma, in addition to you rescue inhaler there is an inhaler called .....Intal....or cromolyn sodium is the generic name.  It is specific for excercise induced asthma and you use it a half an hour before excercise and it helps to avoid and asthma attack.

In the meantime, if you feel like you cant breathe, use your Albuterol.  Make sure you use it correctly so the medication gets into your lungs and not on the roof of your mouth.  A spacer is helpful for that.

  4. You need to get on a medication such as Singular that will help prevent the attacks rather than relying on Albuterol which is used in the short term to break an attack.

If your family doctor can not help you,  go see a pulmonary specialist.  If you asthma gets worse it could kill you.
