I have bad veins, can I draw my own blood?

And I'm tired of being poked 6 times everytime I need blood drawn. I really am. Will a lab teach me how to do my own? I really don't have much confidence in my midwife's office as far as that goes. But I love them otherwise.

  1. If a skilled, experienced phlebotomist has trouble getting blood from your veins, what makes you think that YOU could do a better job after a brief training?

(Next time you need a blood draw, let them know you're a tough stick. Most labs/offices have at least one nurse/tech who is really skilled, and will do a much better job.)
