  1. You could always put a latern or something that shines really bright in your chimney. (Bats hate light) and after they fly out, block off the top.

OR just block off the top and bottom while they're in there and let them die of starvation.

  2. uhhh..... lets see a chimney...........u ever think of a FIRE!!!!

  3. Please do not even think about harming them in any way.Get in touch with your local bat protection league .They will help you.RSPCA will be able to direct you to bat protecition league.

Bats are fabulous creatures .Help them relocate by all means but no harming pleeeeeeeeeease.

  4. If you're in the UK, it's illegal to kill bats

  5. The bats will leave at night to feed.  You need to install rain caps with mesh that keeps birds, bats and other critters from gaining access to your chimney.  You can either install the caps in the middle of the night so the bats can't return, or hire a pest specialist to remove them and then install. the caps. Of course, you could always start a fire.......I hear bats are a delicacy in Thailand. (Joking, just joking, calm yourself <grin>)

  6. You can either do this yourself, or have a pest control company do it for you.  The bats mean you no harm, they only want a nice comfy place to live.    If there is any opening, even as small as 1/2 inch in diameter, bats can get in.

You need a screened chimney cap to fit each chimney.  In the evening, after the bats fly out for the night, place the caps on the chimneys.  You problem should be solved, as they will find someplace else to roost.

A professional will cover the chimney with a cap that allows the bats to leave, but not re-enter your chimney.  They can also make sure that there are not other places on your house where the bats could get in, and seal them off as well.

Please do not kill the bats.  They are worth their weight in gold as bug killers, especially of mosquitos and moths.  If you have the right site for it, you may want to hang up a bat house to keep them in the area.  Bats are fun to watch at night.  At my old house we would keep a yard light on all night, just to attract the bugs that attracted the bats.

At the Bat Conservation site below, there is a link about what to do about bats in your house.

  7. Bats eat thousands of mesquitoes and other bugs daily.  It would be best if you could just find some way to make them move out, not kill them.  Good luck!

  8. Don't kill them u demon!

  9. I don't really know. you should probably call an exterminator. Stink bomb?
