Spray all sides of your mattress, around the bed and on the carpet. Be sure to use an ODORLESS bug spray. Then allow the mattress to "air out" preferably outside in the sun for a few hours, turn it over so both side can dry well. There are some spray choices at the bottom of this page, http://www.domyownpestcontrol.com/bed-bu... but I would recommend you go to any home center near you, Ace Hardware, True Value or any of the bigger places.

If your mattress is quite new and costly, you should take it to the linen store for a good hypo-allergenic mattress cover. Close it with zip and don’t unzip it for at least a year. This will kill bed bugs within the case, but it might need at least a year for this to occur. However if the mattress is quite worn out and the fabric is torn, throw it away.
