Question:

I have been accepted for an interview by Delta but they didn't ask my height!?

I have completed various online tests and two telephone interviews to become a flight attendant with Delta Airlines.

They called me just now to congratulate me that I had passed the tests and would be invited to fly to Atlanta for the final stage of the recruitment process.

At no point during the process was I asked my height.

I am 6'6" and with most airline applications I am rejected on the basis of height alone.

Do I accept their very kind offer of a free flight and hotel in Atlanta and simply expect to be rejected?

I'd love to go!

  1. Go.

  2. I would say definitely go to ATL. Delta is currently offering buy outs for 2000 employees but I would not let that stop me. If they offer a job you are better off than you are now and if they don't you got a nice little get away.

  3. If height has not been an issue thus far, go and see what happens. You may wind up with a job.

  4. Go for it. People your height fly all the time. It'll be a comfort issue for you, but it won't keep you from doing your job. While they may have a lot of candidates, they are less likely to cut you when you're already this far ahead. Give it a go. You should have as good a shot as the next guy.

  5. No worries I work for a regional with smaller turboprops and just the other day I saw one of the male flight attendants and he was massive. Probably like 6'4'' and 250.
