In what ways does ineffective instruction in critical academic and social skills contribute to emotional and behavioral problems?.....He is working toward understanding SPED better during this current school year. All the SPED teachers at my school have been asked (told) to help him.

It affects self esteem....it ENCOURAGES poor behaviors caused by "survival tools" that ought to be abandoned rather than reinforced. Holding them accountable for all their actions matters more than ANYTHING. go to www.radzebra.org and MEMORIZE it....
