  1. Not normal. Passport numbers are never requested for ground transfers, unless you will travel by bus and don't have a brazilian ID. Airport transfers not at all. Be careful with your passport and the service provider you get.


  2. No, it´s not used to ask passport or ID #...only police can ask your passport or ID #.

    Phone Cabs can ask your phone #...that´s it.
