I have been away for over a month on vacation and I don't miss anyone back home?

Is it normal not to feel any affection or miss anyone ( family friends )

There is a difference between missing people and love/affection.  When you miss people it is because you have personal needs which are not necessarily specific to the people you are missing.  Love and affection are emotions which are earned by others and are always there and do not require their presents.  Your self confidence indicates your family did a good job of raising you.  You are find, not to worry.  Your family bonds are stronger then you think.
