My boss micromanages, talks rudely towards me while other employees are in the room. I feel like I can not do the job I was hired for even though all my co workers feel I am more then capable of completing my assignments.

  1. Ah, the age old micromanager problem, I had that from an old witch, I could not take it anymore and I went to her boss, which was my boss ahead of her...i told him what she was doing (she was going against company policy sending me out of the building on occasion to run errands)..If you are not afraid to make waves, go to HR...you are not supposed to be "harrassed" when you go to work.

  2. While I don't agree with the way you are being treated, do remember that your colleagues aren't the ones you are to keep happy. It is your boss. I would talk with your boss and outline that "the way you are treating me makes me feel that I'm not doing the job adequately for you". Hopefully they will discuss with you that they may feel that you can't and this will enable you both to work on a resolution. Bosses don't always get things right.

Failing that, speak to a superior about addressing the problem. One shouldn't continue with this type of environment, it doesn't do any benefit for the entire team. It may not be you and it may be an issue with the manager.

  3. Been there done that, at my previous workplace. I loved the work (cast stone design/engineering). The production manager (not my boss) screamed all sorts of obscenities and degrading insults (calling me lying, lazy good for nothing sack of S**t) at me in front of everyone when he assummed my drawings were going to be released late because I was instructed by my boss to help the other girl who was behind.
