I have been feeling that there is someone in my house when i am alone. Can someone tell me what is going on?

i have a feeling that i am not alone when i am.i have been seeing shadows when i am around. and then i hear footsteps. i check to see who it is but no one is there. it is scary. please help me!

Is it an older house? Hows the wiring in it if so?  A lot of times, when you've got a high Electromagnetic Field (EMF) in a building, it can cause a heavy or being watched feeling.

I've experienced it first hand.  You get this oogie feeling then notice the giant breaker in the next room or exposed wiring.  

Also, if it is an old house, there are lots of creaks and moans a house makes when it settling that can sound like footsteps or something moving around.

I'd see if you can find a magnetometer  or borrow one and do a walk through to see if you've got a higher reading in the area's you get that "being watched" feeling.

Not trying to rule out a haunting, just trying to rule the other things out first.

Well, when you are alone, you just may have a heightened sense of alertness.  More so, than if you are with someone else.

You are more aware of little noises, etc., that you normally don't notice, and this causes a little adrenaline rush which makes you edgy.

I can tell you now what is going on.  Nothing.   If you have your doors locked, and know for sure that someone is not in your house, you are ok.

You are just letting your imagination run away with you.  Relax.

get a pet-animals can sense evil or ghosts and will protect you. even a cute fluffy kitten will know if someone else is there with you.

I think you need to elaborate. Are yo absolutely positive that you hear footsteps and see shadows? Because that could just result from your mind playing tricks on you because you are scared. Or you could just be more alert when you are scared. I know that when I am doing something that I don't want my parents to know about, I am more alert and therefore hear and see things more clearly.

So far with what info you have given you are definitely seeing a spirit of some sort around you. As I type I scene it is a little boy maybe between the age 8 -12 I don't think you know him. You seem to have the similar ability as me. If you were to practice third eye and telepathic communication exercises you could probably be able to talk with the spirits around you. I usually see a shadow or out line of someone or white light. Sometimes I feel tingling around me or emotions. Once the spirits realize I can see them they show me what they looked like as a human. They show me this telepathically through my third eye. They talk to me this way too. Sometimes they just want to say hi and know how their loved ones are doing. Sometimes a simple picture or something like that is enough for them. Other times they don't even realize they are dead. It is not alway nice though, sometimes they show me what they looked like when they died, and that can be pretty gruesome. I have also experienced dark evil spirits and learned as long as I have no fear of the spirits and pray they leave they can not harm me or create any disharmony in my family. I get the same way and I think it is just my nerves because I don't really enjoy being alone at home when it is dark. My advice is to turn on the lights and blast some of your faveorite music! It helps me. I hope that both of us will get over our fear. Most if not all of this is in our heads. But if not I would research the background of your house. E.x. where it was built, why it was built and stuff like that. My friend had seen a ghost one time and it was because her house was built on a Indian/mexican/american warground in san jacinto. Turn on all of the lights at home, so at least you won't feel like you are being followed around. I had the same problem a couple of months ago, but I got over it soon! Good Luck!!!

Easy . There is a spirit in your home you need to bless your house.And don't show it fear. If its evil it will feed off of your fear. Being afraid of it will only make it stronger.Try reading verses from the bible when you here the noises go from room to room reading the verses.

I do know how you feel, but there's nothing to fear. If it was a dark spirit and it wanted to scare you or harm you, you'd know it. they're not very subtle. lol

But those are classic signs of a spirit in the house. They won't (and can't) hurt you. Is your house old? He could've been a previous owner or he could be attached to the land. If you want him to leave, very gently tell him that he needs to go into the light, that you wish him peace, but he cannot stay. Then say a prayer for him and ask that an angel come and escort him into the light.
