I have been having a problem with blood in my urin. they test it and nothing is growing. my sister had it.?

My niece had it. what is it cause from anyone know? Has anyone had this happen? the dr wants me to go get this thing put up me to ck my bladder (Does it hurt much?) what are they looken for?

They first should take blood work to check your hemoglobin and your white blood cell count etc., Next they can study you kidney by injecting dye and taking pictures,  You do not state whether you have a any pain associated with this. I personally would try a non-invasive procedure first over a invasive one. I had a cystoscopy when  I was only 7 because of recurrent bladder infections and blood in my urine (medical name is hematuria). and everything was normal.  My brother had hematuria, never complained and they found a huge stone in his bladder which had to be surically removed. You could have kidney stones also although you never said you had pain. They will give you a nerve block so you shouldn't feel anything. Good luck.
