  1. Sit down on a nice comfy chair with a soothing hot cup of tea. There is actually a tea called "Tension Tamer," imagine that! Also soak your feet in hot water with Epsom Salt. Grab a magazine or a Bible, and your set!

  2. Do something simple that you like doing. Suggestions:

    - Read a book or magazine

    - Listen to music

    - Browse through a magazine

    - Surf the Internet for non-work related stuff

    - Watch TV

    - See a movie

    - Have a movie marathon at home

    - Go out with friends

    - Take a walk

    - Run or jog

    - Get a massage

    - Play a computer game where you can hit, smash, whack or shoot zombies or monsters

    - Go shopping

    - Eat your favorite food (some studies show that chocolate releases feel-good endorphins)

    - Sleep

    Hope this helps!

  3. EXERCISE!!!!!! i love love love it!!!

  4. I like to start relaxing off with a nice hot shower or bath. I mean, sometimes that is all you need to relieve tension. Then it depends on how I feel, I could go out to dinner or a movie, I could stay at home and catch up on something on TV or the computer, my thing is to get away from tension... so, I could go to Las Vegas and stay in a nice hotel for a few days... that really works for me.  I think the main thing is to find something that you enjoy and to loose yourself into that.  Good Luck.

  5. What does this have to do with the Dining Out category?

  6. BREATHE, again and again.

    Consult a health professional.

  7. read a book, go out eat somewhere, watch an educational show, exercise.

qalso get a body message by a proffessional

    and another thing

don't listen to these nuckle head. that's floundering meaning sexual buisness.

mastubation is something you wouldnt wish apon your enemy

plus causes hernyas feeling like musle spasms

  8. Most of the recommendations work when I am under a bit of stress, but when I am under severe stress a good book, or a trip to the gym usually doesnt do it for me.  I have to be more creative at that point and try something new, literally.  I suppose that's why I have so many hobbies.

A new adventure, a new sport, or any new hobby provides that relief for me when I'm under severe stress.  I think it's because of that akward time when you are learning something new, really encompases your attention and takes you away from whatever is bothering you.  Then, when I'm ready to deal with whatever gave me so much stress in the first place, I can usually put it into perspective having just taken a step back away from it.  Also, you get such a feeling of accomplishment when you make some achievements in your new hobby, that it really boosts your self esteem and you are better able to deal with those stressful situations the next time.

  9. Well I can see that as you have posted your question in the Dining Out Category!

Now coming to your question try stress busting techniques like meditation which will help focus your mind and relax your brain and thereby reduce your level of anxiety. Also devote sometime to yourself say half an hour a day just to be with yourself, alone in a corner in a park or in any such open place with fresh air where you can relax and free your thoughts and mind.I always do this at the sea side.If you are not in a coastal city then any park or open place will do.Good Luck!

  10. It depends upon what happened with you.

But to ease tension, and to relax urself, go for a sleep, talk with some friends, or watch any funny film. It will always help you.

  11. either m********e or listen to some calm music like some from the 'The Moment'(Kenny G)

    etc etc

  12. m********e all you want. There's no such thing as too much.

  13. you havent exactly said why you are in so much tension. Anyway, i think you should spend time alone with someone you like the most or speak with someone whom you are comfortable in opening up your mind. Also a few deep breaths can give you quick relief. but then to  be completely  relieved from that, you need to find the exact reason for your tension and try to solve that out.

  14. I am a little biased since it's my profession, but a gentle swedish massage works great!

  15. get laid\

  16. forget what you thinking.you could do yoga its cool

  17. hey watch cartoons they are realy nice n relaxing  .........  i watch it whn i m tensed ..

  18. First and foremost, if you are comfortable talking and have someone trustworthy with whom to share, to help you sort things out or just to listen, that positive input can be amazing.  A friend, a stranger, clergy, a professional. Even the neighbor's dog! If you believe in a higher source (often known as G-d), you can talk with him/her...if you really believe in that connection, he/she is so there for you.  Even talking with yourself, a real conversation, can be most heartwarming...and delightful, if you get your own sense of humor!

Secondly, breath!  Really, a lot of times when we are tense, it is because we are not breathing well.  Not enough oxygen, not enough blowing off the bad toxic stuff.  Make sure you are drinking enough water to cleanse out the toxins...dehydration can make you feel tired or depressed or anxious. Also, good nutrition, rest, exercise (any physical exertion like a workout, a big walk, cleaning your home like crazy, happy s*x), meditation, yoga.  And, I noticed other people wrote about self-gratification...yes, definitely a huge tension-buster.  If you are blessed currently to have someone with whom to mutually gratify...yay!  And you can still also enjoy yourself when your partner isn't around :)

I have also found that sometimes I need a good cry to take the edge off...a good sad movie (but not with a theme that might be too close to home if you have a current topic that makes you feel raw).

Think of how all these people have responded to your question...not just for points, but to reach out...hope that helps, too!
