I have been offered Pettite and Wellemeyer for Erik Bedard, should I take this trade?

Bedard's return has no time-table and who knows how well he'll be when he gets back. I know these two guys arent much but my pitching is hurting and Bedard isnt doing anything for me on the DL.

  1. Research it first.Last I knew it wasnt so much Bedard was hurt but that he isnt a fit in Seattle and his personality wasnt right for the rest of the team.Seattle was looking to move him. This is the third trade today I have seen with Bedard in it.My suspition is something is up.

  2. take the trade

  3. take it bedard didn't even look good when healthy this year

  4. first of all i would like to say that whoever is offering you this trade is a r****d lol and that you should definitely accept it.... bedard is on a non-contending team so even if he does come back he won't be pitching alot, and pettite and wellemeyer will log more innings with a lower WHIP so do it for sure

  5. Yes since Bedard is hurt and the M's suck.  In fact, you answered your own question.  That is, unless it's a keeper league and you are out of the playoff race.  If it's a keeper league I like Bedard long term better.  Wellemeyer sucked with the Cubs and will eventually suck again.  Pettite is beat and likely will retire soon.

  6. No question petite has done almost as good as bedard and the other guy would just be a  plus
