Vicodin 750 mg around 8-10 per day

Loritab when I could get my hands on them

Oxycotin (occasionally) when I could get my hands on them

Fetnol patches when I could (then after 3 days of wearing them I would chew them)

I have been taking them for about a year now.......no pain.....just for fun. Habit getting too expensive so I quit almost a week ago. Withdrawl symptoms seem to be getting better, but my heart continues to race.

I got myself in trouble with extacy back in 2001 and quit cold turkey after 4 days of painful sweating, vomiting, etc.

It is not possilbe for me to do in patient rehab and I figure if I can get off extacy cold turkey, I can do it with vicodin. How much longer will I be having these symptoms. I try to keep myself busy, but I have a hard time "sleeping" it off.

  1. Not sure I see a question there, but congrats on trying to get off that stuff.  Be wary of doctors who might want to prescribe one med to replace those meds.  Seek out a support group like Narcotics Anonymous.  You'll find you aren't alone.  Find someone you admire, someone who is sort of the person you'd like to be and model your behavior after them.  It can be anyone.  If you developed some sort of pride in yourself and some hope for the future, which I assure you is possible, you won't want to take the drugs and won't nec be in a hurry to change the way you feel.  It takes time, but listen, you already know its a problem and you've begun to quit.  Just keep it up!
