  1. you may think you are going good now, but try racing, and you will see just how slow you really are!!!!

racing and riding with friends that are a lot faster than you will help you get fast.....

  2. yes try racing and will be surprised at how slow you really are--but on the good side after a few races you meet friends  that are faster than you ask to practice w/ them and have them CHASE you it is a method where they chase you around the track on your back wheel the whole time ---revin the motor when your going to slow or passin ya then let ya go by and get right back on your wheel  -----it works i have been chased and been the chaser-------good luck   but like they say if you don't have dirt in you teeth you ain't try hard enough!!!!!!!! ever heard of jeff emig/robbie reynard/ chased both   yo jeff if ya see this tell page i said hey-------ok 59/douglas ------42--------ride on but not slowLOL:)

  3. If you think your getting good, sign up for a hare scramble if you have never raced before. You will get your A#S KICKED! You're going to be really tired too. Then you can work out for a month when you aren't riding, so next time you won't be as tired. MX is a really physically demanding sport. I'd probably say more so than football but thats just me. Also my MX track has lessons. When I started motocross, thats what I did and they helped me so much.

  4. If you want to give racing a go contact one of the local clubs in your area and get the details of how to join and then you can at least do some practise days and this will give you an idea of your ability when you try yourself against some of the riders your age that have raced for years.  You can then decide if you want to take it further.

  5. Try racing at your local track. You might humble yourself.

    Good luck.

  6. Quit trying to be the "Superstar FMX Rider" and practice on reading the terrain. Going big, is the easy part.

I have been teaching new riders lately and i have the same problem with all of them "They all want to go Big". I will give you a piece of advice, Learn the natural terrain(trails, Different motocross tracks, etc.) and learn how to go big on them, It takes time and practice.
