I have been snowboarding for one season. Would a Rome Blue Snowboard be too advanced for me?

I don't really snowboard in the park to much. I prefer to just ride down the mountain.

  1. i dont really think that there is any single board that is too good for any skill level.. it just depends on the effort you put in and your budget.

  2. If you are worried that it will be too stiff or twitchy, why don't you look at an intermediate board from Rome like the Vinyl? Or look at other brands that make great boards like Ride or Roxy?

It isn't any fun to ride a board that is too stiff for your riding style that is following every groove in the snow - get a board that you can grow into but avoid an advanced freeride board unless you are really good at carving and edge control and ride very agressively.

    Good Luck

  3. Go for it!

The rome Blue is an awesome board I've been riding it for 3 seasons now & it is my second board.

It's fun, light easy to turn & heaps of pop.

    Love it!

BTW I'm not much of a park rider either, but the board will help you progress your skills on the runs too.

  4. No, but you might need to grow into it a bit.  I think you should go for it.

  5. The Rome Blue is an advanced womens snowboard. It is fast, aggressive, and very snappy. You do not necessarily have to be an expert to ride it, but you must be able to link your turns and ride confidently throughout the mountain. If you are feeling ambitious then go for it. If you maybe want a board that is similar in purpose to the Blue but more user friendly, check out the K2 Luna: http://www.sierrasnowboard.com/K2-Luna-W... or the Salomon Lark: http://www.sierrasnowboard.com/2008-Salo...
