I have been stressing about what to major in and im barely starting college (community college) as a freshmen.

Question

I love working with children and I've listed 3 kinds of things i wanna do BUT which is the best choice in order to receive many benefits from and good pay?

*THERAPIST (child development)

*Preschool,kindergarden Teacher

*Massage therapist as part time

*Flight Attendant

i think *THERAPIST (child development) would be best.

Im just a sophmore in HS tho, so thats just what i think lol

I think Child Development Therapist would be a great career, as far as benefits and money goes, but if you really want to help nurture and get involved with children, I would be a teacher.

And don't freak out. No one says you have to decide right now. Get the boring classes out of the way first, and work on upper level decisions later.  College is as much fun as it is work, so enjoy it!

Okay, first of all- RELAX!!! you still have at least two years until you official declare a major. For your first year, if you're not sure of yourself, you can declare yourself as an "undeclared major", and they'll just schedule you with general courses, and try to help you out with what you want to do.

The other thing is- you can do a double major... so just pick out the two of your favorite things, and from there, those can be your majors. As for your third choice, you can make that your minor.

Everyone in college by their third year of school, needs to have at least one major and one minor...

One other thing, when you reach college, get in touch with your advisor... he/she will help steer you in the right direction.

Don't stress so hard on your major as a freshman.  Most people change their major a few times before settling down in one.
