Ok I've been stung by a wasp for sure not sure what kind cause I was working at Burger King and I was getting something and it was on a bag and it stung me quickly then it sort of had trouble flying away and it barely could stay above the ground so I killed it while it was struggling so an eye for an eye. It stung pretty bad for like 2 minutes then it only stings when I put ice to it. I don't have any swelling and the only pain is when I put ice to it. Their is no stinger I can see of in my thumb which is where I got stung. It happened like 9 hours ago and my thumb is a little swollen I think I'm not sure though. So I was wondering do I have to do anything or will the venom subside and I just forget about it like a mosquito bite? I am positive it is a wasp as I looked at its dead body after and I think it stung me once.

  1. Old Folk remedy take some tobacco, wet it and put it on swollen thumb, where you were  stung. Sounds weird but it works.

  2. wash the area with a mild soap and apply ice on and of for 10 minutes at a time if you vomit or it swells too bad go to the hospital asap i knew this cause my friend got stung the other day and i called poison controll and this is what they told me to do it will go away on its own accord

  3. You should be alright after a while, it might help to put vinegar on the wound because wasps venom is a very strong alkaline.

  4. if ur not allergic ur fine. take some benadryl or other allergy medication. it will help

  5. dont worry, you'll live! it'll be red and sore for a couple of days (a lot like a mosquito bite but not itchy) and then it'll go. if it doesn't, see a doctor.you could apply some sort of antiseptic cream to help it heal, but other than that, you don't need to do anything.
