  1. There is nothing to stop you from handing in a notice.   It would probably be best for all concerned if you did.

For whatever reason - you found the rules of the company disagreeable to you and thus you failed to follow them.  You cannot hardly blame the company for not desiring you as an employee any more, can you?

The best thing that could come out of this is that you would find a new employer with a set of rules that you found more agreeable, or you recognized that as an employee - you are selling your services and thereby are honor bound to follow the rules set forth by the company paying for them in the first place.

Good luck on your job search!

  2. Let them fire you.  If you quit, you can't collect unemployment.

  3. Sounds like you are an employee from h**l..  Maybe time to change your attitude rather then looking for answers to continue your game...

  4. One of the nice things about working for a company that has written rules is that you can know what is expected of you.  If you choose to ignore those rules you have announced that you do not wish to have the job.  Move on.

  5. first find a new job, and when you do quit.  it is always easery to find a new one when you already have one.

  6. First question:  what did you do?

Second question:  will they give you a good reference if you go to one of their competitors?

No, I'm serious.  How do you think people like Carly Fiorina (destroyed Lucent & HP) keep getting jobs?

  7. you didnt follow the rules, you are on a final warning, which means you have had others, and you think they are now wanting to get rid of you?  seems to me that you are your own worse enemy and you deserve to get kicked out.  maybe you will learn something from this episode.

  8. Speak up for yourself.  Paper trails work both ways.

  9. If you really feel that your company wants you out, then they are only going to give you a hard time if you stay there.

  10. So what is your question?  Hand it in.

  11. I had been working at a place for 3 months a few years ago and had to leave a half hour early to pick up my husband from work 1 time, well the new boss who'd been there for almost 2 weeks suspended me  for 3 days then when I came back he fired me for no reason except he said I wasn't able to work the hours they needed me.  If I were you I'd start looking now. If you still have your job when you go back I'd still start looking elsewhere then give a 2 week notice after you've found another job.  You need to know that no matter where you go to work there are going to rules to follow.

  12. if you failed to follow company rules why do you say they are looking for an excuse to get you out.  it seems like you screwed yourself over.

if you quit, there's no unemployment bennies.

  13. diffrent companies have diffrent rules and regulations.I worked on a construction suite were one guy thought it was okay to swing from a pully.needless to say that wounded him up for a whole week of watching safty videos. He was mad but then got over it.Some times we have to bite the bullet. But i don't think you should give notice.Rethink about what company rule did you break.and what can i do to fix my bad habbits on the job.Be a leader not a follower.Do you'r best not to s***w up.And keep your job because its hard to find a job.so keep the one you got.

  14. Um what is it that you did that was wrong?

  15. just quit

  16. Then quit. You're already on the way out. You both know it. Just be the one to get out before they throw you out.
