  1. im not sure if u lose weight u might just get muscle, or more muscle swimming is very good for u though maybe you need to push ur self harder each time,

i swim myself i love it

    :D

  2. ofcourse because fats turn into muscles which are heavier but u will look leaner.

  3. i am also on a swim team, and it doesnt happen over night. it took my two hours a night for 3 months to start getting muscle and lose fat. it all takes time. meanwhile, focus on racing. it'll come soon enough.

  4. that happens

plus...its harded for girls to lose weight....which suckss

  5. are you saying you haven't lost weight??  that's like me i can work out every day and wont lose any weight so i wouldn't worry.

  6. Hmmm... how many laps do you swim? I lost 2 pounds swimming in a hotel pool 1 time a day for a week, which I don't need to loose any weight. If anything, I need to gain weight since I'm still growing! I don't know the answer... I'm really sorry! I wanted to help.. sometimes it depoends on what you eat before and after you swim. Eat fruit, vegetables and drink lots of water before swimming, and maybe mix a little vitamin water. Have about 7 cups of water a day and about 3-4 serving of veggies and fruit everyday. If you already do this, think I'm just not sure. I eat cherries all the time(I'm addicted) and I keep a healthy weight. Sure, I don't have a flat stomach like some people do, but I don't care much for it. I'm just happyw tih my own body and how I look. Don't worry about your weight, actually, just eat right. You should feel comfortable with your body. Obsessing over your weight isn't good. Everyone is beautiful on the inside and outside, skinny, big, normal, just any way, they are all beautiful! I hope this helped even a little bit!

  7. Losing weight also depends on what you eat. If you eat lots of junk food you still wont lose weight, even if you are swimming 2 hours a day. Dont diet or eat less than you normally would, just eat healthy foods. Swimming burns lots of calories and will make you hungry. Instead of eating cookies and ice cream to fill that hunger, eat fruit or yogurt. Dont drink soda or sugary juices, drink water instead. Gatorade is good after/during workouts but it has a lot of sugar in it, so only drink it if you feel energy depeleted. Hope this advice helped.

  8. swimming is a lifestyle, not just a sport. You have to commit to eating right, this means no soda or junk food. You should also eat a lot of protein. You should also be cross training such as running, ab workouts, weight lifting, and running stairs.

Also, muscles weigh more than fat so you could actually end up gaining weight. Its hard to monitor weight when you are swimming. You should just focus on how you feel and how your clothes fit you, not the actual number.
