I have been taking hydrocodone for quite a long time due to migraines and a back injury. Now I have switched doctors and he has put me on Tramadol. What withdrawals am I going to expect and what can I do to minimize them? Thank you.

  1. you may have some tightness in your chest, rapid heart beat, feel nauseated, abdominal cramps.  you can get extremely anxious, poor ability to concentrate.  you may also require some clonadine to control your symptoms. besides the tramadol may not control your pain.

  2. You will not get withdrawals from the hydrocodone while taking the Tramadol. But why in the world would he trade Hydrocodone for such a crappy drug like Ultram? It is a narcotic, it is an opiate and it has serotonin inhibiting properties. The withdrawal from Tramadol can be worse than conventional opiates and why in the world would he do this? Ultram is a brain drug and a weak narcotic. DO not mix it with a anti-depressant. Ultram is h**l to get off of and it stays in your system longer and is by far worse. Type in Ultram Sucks on Google and read the horror stories. NOT TO MENTION TRAMADOL CAN GIVE YOU MIGRAINES! And it can result and all kind of strange reactions.
